Debby Dziob is a native of Southington, CT where she began her dance training at the age of 7 under the direction of Mrs. Vicky at Mrs. Vicky’s Studio of Dance.  She began her training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical.

Debby was also part of the Jr. Vickettes Tap Competition group which placed 1st and 2nd in many competitions throughout New England.  At the same time, she also took gymnastic lessons at CATS Gymnastics Center for about 4years.  As she grew older, her passion for dancing only grew stronger.  Debby was also involved in cheerleading at the middle school age and continued cheering and competing throughout high school where she developed a love for choreography.  During her Jr. and Sr. years of high school she helped choreograph many Cheerleading routines for competition.

Following high school, she became the assistant cheerleading coach for Southington High School where she coached, taught and choreographed dances, stunts and competition routines for both the Jr. Varsity and Varsity squads for 5years.  In 2003 she was awarded the choreography award at a New England Regional Cheerleading Competition.  After high school, she began studying Hip-Hop at United Rhythms under the direction of Fernando-an amazing choreographer and master of the art Dance whom  inspired Debby greatly not only in dance, but in life.  She lives by one of his quotes, “to dance from the heart is to dance with freedom.”  After one year of advanced hip-hop, she started performing professionally with Fernando at many NYC venues including the NYC Film Festival and CT venues including Foxwoods Casino, Club BB King, etc.  After her third year at United Rhythms, Debby began teaching/subbing intermediate and advanced hip-hop.

Debby has been teaching at ATTD since the fall of 2007 and she works a full time job as well.  Since 2007, she has been coaching middle school competitive cheerleading at Paradise Education Center in Surprise, AZ.  Debby’s PEC Cheerleaders won 1st place at the Grand Canyon Pom & Cheer Junior High Champions.  She has been teaching for our ATTD Dance Teams which have won several awards this past 2008-09 year.  Debby’s creativity & joy for teaching is evident as she feels it is an awesome experience to share with her students the love of this art called- Dance!
