Krissy was born in Santa Clara, CA and grew up in Los Banos, CA. She began dancing at the age of 3.  By the time she was 5, she began competing in various competitions.  Throughout her years of competing she has won many awards, such as: Dance Master’s Miss Junior Dance, Best Tap Overall and California State Grand Champion.  Krissy trained for 6 years in gymnastics and was also the co-captain all 4 years on her high school cheer squad.  During high school she was also part of an All-Star competitive dance team and performed with the USA All-Star Cheer and Dance  Team in Paris.  At age 13 she began assistant teaching at the only dance studio in town- Sheri’s Dance Expressions. The studio was sold and Krissy became the main dance instructor for the studio.  At age 18 she became the studio director, manager and instructor.  This is where her love for teaching began.

After high school, Krissy attended college at Cal State Fullerton receiving a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entertainment and Tourism.  While in college, she was a Dance major for 2 years before ultimately deciding on a Business degree.  She also pursued her dream of working and performing at Disneyland.  She has worked in the Disneyland entertainment department for 8 years and performed in such parades and shows as Parade of Dreams, Electrical Parade, Block Party Bash, A Christmas Fantasy and Fantasmic.  In 2001, Krissy choreographed numerous dance routines for a cast member showcase that raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  In 2002, she was chosen to live in Japan and work at Tokyo Disneyland for 7 months as a performer.  Upon returning from Japan, Krissy continued her dance education by attending numerous workshops provided by Disney and took master dance classes from Mia Michaels and Wade Robson.

Krissy moved from California to Peoria, AZ in 2009 and is very excited to be a part of the ATTD team.  Dance is her passion and she hopes to share that with all of her students.  A Time To Dance Studio Welcomes Krissy Vorst!
